Decking the halls?

We opted for extra strength by using metal brackets for attaching the joists.

The bales will be sandwiched between toe-ups and a top plate. We are building the top plate now to make roof construction easier later.










With the foundation built we can start framing in the toe-ups used to elevate and secure the bales in place.  The toe-ups are constructed of 4x4's and will be filled with gravel for drainage.  Under the toe-ups we will place strapping that will later be used to compress the bales.
